Online support group for parents whose children are starting creche or maternelle — September 5, 12, 19 & 26, 10:00–12:00
Four sessions to help you navigate this challenging transition period with more confidence and a better understanding of how to support both your child — and yourself.
Theory
We will look at the emotional and behavioural aspects of transition. What helps a child feel safe in a new environment? What can become a source of comfort and connection for a child at school? Why explanations don’t work?
Practice
We will explore practical ways to support your child during this period. What can help build a trusting relationship with the teacher? Which games and activities can help reduce anxiety? How can we respond to tantrums and aggressive behaviour?
Support
We will share experiences and look at how the transition is unfolding for our children: what went smoothly, what was challenging, what was helpful, and what turned out to be not exactly what we expected.
Cost: €45 per participant for all four sessions (family discounts available).

How can I help?
Parents (and sometimes other adults) reach out to me when they are concerned about what is happening — or what has recently changed — in their child’s behavior or in family relationships more broadly.
I work within an attachment-based psycho-emotional developmental paradigm, integrating it with tools drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodrama, art therapy, and other approaches.
